Don't forget that her father had seduced her while in the form of Hades one occasion and flat out raped her on another. Hades utter hatred for Zeus actually starts to seem somewhat understandable doesn't it. Surprisingly, hades even raises the children of those situations as his own holding nothing against them for the actions of their biological father.
